Living with dwarfism

I have created this Blog for people who have dwarfism or want to learn more about Dwarfism.
The most common type of Dwarfism is Achondroplasia. People with Achondroplasia are shorter than the average height, can have bowing in the longer extremity bones of the body including the arms, legs, and spine. Hydrochpholis is another common factor which is excess water that collects on the brain. This causes severe pain and discomfort. The way to cure this is by inserting a shunt into the persons head which drains this fluid from the brain down into the stomach. The type of dwarfism I was born with is Hypochondroplasia which is very simular to Achon with fewer of the medical conditions. The main thing about Hypo is you are shorter than the average person.

Over my nineteen year life so far I have done many things that have been challenges but also accomplishments for me. Some of these include playing league hockey and baseball with all average height people for 9 years and working in a copper and gold mine splitting core samples.

I would be interested in hearing about peoples thoughts on dwarfism and from other people with dwarfism and the challenges and experiences they have gone through.
